pencil & pastels — brushes

This personal project began as an exploration of how to translate my favorite everyday traditional art materials into digital brushes for Procreate on iPadOS. The goal was to recreate the organic textures and expressive qualities of my analog tools while maintaining a similar visual language in a digital environment. The process became an enjoyable experiment in building textures, testing shapes, and understanding how physical materials can be reinterpreted through digital techniques.

The final brush pack includes six brushes — four pencil brushes and two oil pastel brushes — designed to capture the tactile feel of traditional media. The pack is available on Gumroad as a free download, with optional contributions for those who wish to support the project. It also includes the original tip shapes and textures, allowing artists to recreate or adapt the brushes in other drawing platforms that support custom brush creation.
